Hanns Hamberger
Hanns Hamberger (born September 11, 1923 in Unterbernbach ; † January 20, 2013 in Landsberg am Lech ) was a German local politician ( CSU ).
Hamberger was Lord Mayor of Landsberg am Lech from 1970 to 1988. His housing and economic policy helped the city to flourish again; shortly after his first election, the city acquired the first areas for business settlement. During his tenure, the population rose from 16,600 to around 20,000. Despite the implementation of many infrastructure projects, the city had over 20,000,000 DM in reserves for further investments when he left.
From 1972 to 2008 Hamberger was also a member of the district council of the Landsberg am Lech district . He was married and had three children.
