Ingo Lehmann (politician, 1950)

Ingo Lehmann (born July 31, 1950 in Landsberg am Lech ) is a German local politician ( SPD ).

After graduating from high school in 1969, Lehmann studied law and then worked as a public prosecutor and judge, most recently as a family judge at the Landsberg District Court .

From 1978 to 1996 Lehmann was elected to the Landsberg city council. In 1982 and 1988 he ran unsuccessfully for the office of Lord Mayor of Landsberg. In 2000 he started again. This time he was able to prevail in the runoff election against the incumbent Franz Xaver Rößle with 54.98 percent. In 2006 Lehmann was re-elected with 59.2 percent in the first ballot. After the city of Landsberg suffered millions in losses in derivative transactions , Lehmann received only 24.95 percent of the votes in the first round of the mayoral election in 2012 and thus did not reach the runoff.
