Mathias Neuner

Mathias Neuner (born June 13, 1966 in Landsberg am Lech ) is a German local politician ( CSU ).

Career

Neuner attended primary school on Spitalplatz from 1972 to 1976, then from 1976 to 1982 the Ignaz-Kögler-Gymnasium in Landsberg and finally the technical college in Kaufbeuren . After graduating from a university of applied sciences, he studied civil engineering at the Munich University of Applied Sciences between 1984 and 1989 . Between 1989 and 1992 he studied industrial engineering at the same university . In 1995 he started his own engineering office. From 2007 on he was managing director of Neuner Wohnbau und Immobilien GmbH .

In spring 2012 he ran for the election of the mayor of Landsberg am Lech and prevailed in the runoff election on March 25, 2012 with 51.4% of the votes against the competitor of the Greens Ludwig Hartmann . After eight years in office, Neuner was voted out of office in a runoff election in the 2020 local elections. He got just 33.19% of the vote, while Doris Baumgartl (UBV) received 66.81% of the vote and was elected his successor.
