The list of the team cadres of the Swiss 1st Bundesliga in chess 2003 contains all players who were used in the Swiss Chess Bundesliga 2003 at least once.
The Club d'échecs de la Chaux-de-Fonds managed with 11 players, Nimzowitsch Zurich had 16 players contest at least one competition. A total of 112 players were used, 18 of whom took part in all competitions.
Players from 7 nations were used, with the majority of the foreigners coming from Germany.
The best individual result was achieved by Andreas Umbach (SV Wollishofen) with 5.5 points from 6 games, the same number of points was achieved by his team mate Thomas Wyss, who played 7 games. Martin Ballmann (ASK Winterthur) scored half a point less. With Oliver Sutter (SK Bern), Anja Susterman , Nicolaj Melkumjanc (both Basel BVB), Stefan Bouclainville, René Valdivia (both Niederrohrdorf), Robert Beer (Nimzowitsch Zurich) and Thomas Held (SV Wollishofen) seven players achieved 100% of the possible points , but they only played one game each (with the exception of Sutter who was used twice).
The oldest players of the season were Ivan Nemet (Niederrohrdorf) and Hans-Jörg Illi (ASK Winterthur), born in 1943 , the youngest players were Severin Papa (ASK Winterthur), born in 1985 , Julien Carron (Club d'échecs de la Chaux-de-Fonds) and Oliver Kurmann (Lucerne Musegg).
