Manoe Meulen

Manoe Mathilda Catharina Maria Meulen (born September 11, 1978 in Weert ) is a Dutch soccer player . In the 2009/10 season she is active for Willem II from Tilburg in the Eredivisie .

Club career

Meulen started playing football at SV Laar in her hometown of Weert. Like her footballing role model Fabio Cannavaro , the defender plays primarily in central defense .

In the Hoofdklasse , at that time still the highest women's division, she was active at SV Braakhuizen , with which she won the KNVB Cup in 2002. About VV Ste.Do.Co., who also plays in the Hoofd class . she came to Willem II in 2008. With the Tilburg team she was in the starting line-up in all 24 games in the 2008/09 Eredivisie season and was only substituted three times.

National team

On April 16, 2003 Meulen made her debut in the national team and came up to 2005 on 15 missions in Orange . After a break of almost four years - due to injuries, weakness in shape and pressure to perform from her MBA course - she returned to the squad after switching to the professionals in 2008.
