Manuel António (athlete)

Manuel António (born November 3, 1988 in Luanda ) is an Angolan athlete who specializes in middle-distance running.

Career

At the beginning of June 2012, António improved his personal best over 800 meters to 1:50:45 minutes. Two months later, he started at the Olympic Games in London over this distance and was eliminated in seventh place in his preliminary run.

At the 2013 World Championships in Moscow, he was the only athlete from his country. Over 800 meters, he failed to qualify for the semi-finals as seventh of his heat.
