Manuel Eckel (born December 13, 1985 in Paderborn ) is a German football player .

Career

Manuel Eckel began his career in the youth teams of TuRa Elsen and SC Paderborn . In 2004 he left the second team of the SC and then played for three years for the Delbrücker SC . After a year at FC Gütersloh 2000 , it went on to SV Lippstadt 08 in the Westphalia League in 2008 . While there in the first year he had an average season with 13 goals in 24 games behind him, he turned up in the second year and was able to score 40 goals in 33 Westfalenliga games. Thereupon he aroused the desires of higher class clubs in the region. Since SV Lippstadt did not want to give up the striker without a transfer fee, they got into a dispute that ended with Eckel taking long-term sick leave so that he no longer had to play for the club.

In January 2011 Eckel was loaned to the third division Rot Weiss Ahlen . In the 2011/12 season he returned to Lippstadt, but was no longer considered. On June 12, 2012 it was announced that Eckel will play again for FC Gütersloh 2000 in the Oberliga Westfalen . The club with Eckel did not extend the contract that ran until the end of the season. Instead, Eckel moved to the league promoted SV Rödinghausen , with whom he rose to the regional league in 2013/14 . In the 2014/15 season Eckel ran again for the association league club Delbrücker SC before he joined the Bielefeld Westphalian league club VfL Theesen .
