The Brualer Hammrich is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Rhede (Ems) in the Emsland district .

The nature reserve with the registration NSG WE 278 is 175  hectares in size. It is completely part of the EU bird sanctuary "Emstal from Lathen to Papenburg".

The nature reserve is located west of Papenburg in the lowlands of the Ems . In the east it borders directly on the nature reserve " Emsauen between Herbrum and Vellage ". It is separated from this by the Emsdeich. The Brualer Hammrich is mainly used for agriculture. While in the past only grassland was used, in the second half of the 20th century, parts of the northern part of Hammrich in the higher part of the region were converted into arable land .

The nature reserve is of particular importance as a breeding area for wading and meadow birds and also as a resting and wintering area for water birds .

The area has been under nature protection since February 1, 2011. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Emsland.
