The Mühlenmoor is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony town of Meppen in the Emsland district .
The nature reserve with the registration NSG WE 196 is 17.5 hectares in size. It is located southeast of Meppen and west of Haselünne . The mill bog is characterized by alder forest , in the edge areas also by birch-oak forest , and is considered a characteristic example of a relatively natural expression of a river valley edge area .
The area has been a nature reserve since May 27, 1989. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Emsland.
