The Deepenbrock is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Langen in the joint municipality of Lengerich in the Emsland district .
The nature reserve with the registration number NSG WE 014 is 19 hectares in size. It is located northwest of Langen and protects a flat moor . The protected area is characterized by alder forest , swamp areas, reed beds and moist grassland . A small area is covered with birch-oak forest. In the peripheral areas, the nature reserve includes agricultural areas that are intended to act as a buffer zone.
The Kaienfehngraben flows through the nature reserve, through which the area to the Lingener Mühlenbach, which flows into the Ems near Lingen , is drained.
The area has been a nature reserve since December 5, 1998. The nature reserve of the same name, which was designated on March 20, 1937, was incorporated into it. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Emsland.
