The Schaapmoor is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxon municipalities of Sögel and Groß Berßen in the Sögel municipality in the Emsland district .
The nature reserve with the registration number NSG WE 236 is 210 hectares in size. It is located in the Hümmling south of Sögel in the lowland area of the Nordradde .
The protected area puts a mosaic of wet grassland , wet fallow land and broken forests under protection. The protection is also intended to achieve an extensification or abandonment and watering of the grassland areas .
The area has been a nature reserve since February 5, 2000. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Emsland.
