The Nordradde , called Spahnharrenstätter Graben in the upper reaches , is a 32.5 km long, northeastern and orographically right tributary of the Ems in the Lower Saxony district of Emsland .

The Nordradde rises on the eastern edge of the hilly geest landscape of the Hümmling . Its source lies as such in the 2.6 km long Spahnharrenstätter trench in Spahnharrenstätte .
The river runs mainly in a south-westerly direction between the Hümmling in the north-west and the Mittelradde in the south-east. It is called Nordradde when the Wehmer trench comes from Werlte and is 4.67 km long and passes the Theikenmeer nature reserve . As such, it passes Ostenwalde , Sögel , Eisten , Groß Stavern , Klein Berßen , Klein Stavern and Apeldorn .
Then the Nordradde flows through the northern parts of Meppen , only to flow into the Roheide-Ost arm of the North Sea tributary Ems shortly afterwards .
