geography

course

The Mittelradde rises a few kilometers east of the hilly Geest landscape of the Hümmling . Your source is located northeast of Bockholte , a district of Werlte and west-southwest of the core location of Vrees NNW of mostly as a nature reserve Bockholter box designated Dosenmoor  - close to the surveys Hambrink ( 37.5  m ) and Varel ( 38  m ).

The Mittelradde flows in a predominantly southwestern direction roughly parallel to Nordradde in the northwest and Südradde in the southeast. Initially it runs east of Bockholte southwards through the Dosenmoor. In it it bends to the southwest and passes Werlte , Auen and Holthaus . Then the river runs past Wehm , Wieste and Wachtum as well as Vinnen , Lahn and Ahmsen . Then he feeds  the Hüvener Mühle near Hüven on Landesstraße 65 and passes Lähden , Groß Berßen , Klein Berßen and Westerloh . Afterwards the Mittelradde flows past Hülsen and Lohe and - after crossing under the Meppen-Haselünner Railway and the federal road 402  - to Lahre .

Then , after passing Klein Dörgen , a western district of Haselünne , the Mittelradde flows into the Ems tributary Hase, which comes from there from the southeast .

Hase Leda watershed

The headwaters of the Mittelradde are close to the Hase - Leda - Wasserscheide : From the upper reaches of the Mittelradde near the source to the source of the Marka , which rises in the south-southeast, there is an artificially created canal connection that drains the Dosenmoor , which emerges from the Marka source canal. While the Mittelradde, which rises north above the Dosenmoor, flows towards the Hase in a predominantly south-westerly direction, the water of the Marka mostly flows northwards towards the Sagter Ems and then the Leda; Hase and Leda are direct tributaries of the Ems .
