Wieste is a district of the city of Werlte , Samtgemeinde Werlte , in the Lower Saxony district of Emsland .

Geographical location
Wieste is located in the northeast of the district about 5 km south of Werlte. The district town of Meppen is about 29 km (as the crow flies) southwest of Wieste.
The Mittelradde runs east of the village and forms its border in its former uneven course.

Incorporation
With the law on the reorganization of the communities in the areas of Leer and Aschendorf-Hümmling on January 1, 1973, the once independent village of Wieste was incorporated into the municipality of Werlte.
