The Dörgener Moor is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxon town of Haselünne in the Emsland district .
The nature reserve with the registration number NSG WE 029 is 88 hectares in size. It is located north of the B 402 northeast of the district of Bokeloh belonging to Meppen .
The protected area places a high moor area under protection. In the south-east of the protected area there are three flat, partially silted heather ponds , which were placed under protection as early as 1938 as a nature reserve "Vogelfreistätte Dörgener Moor".
The nature reserve is characterized by former hand peat cuttings and broken forest . At the edge of the protected area there are partly agricultural areas and forests that serve as buffer zones between the moor and the adjoining geest .
The area is drained to the Dörgener Beeke, which flows into the Hase after a few kilometers .
The area has been under nature protection since July 15, 2000. The nature reserve “Vogelfreistätte Dörgener Moor”, which was designated on January 15, 1938, was incorporated into it. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Emsland.
