The Meerkolk is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Geeste in the Emsland district .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG WE 050 is 34.2  hectares in size. It is located east of Twist in the Bourtanger Moor-Bargerveen International Nature Park and protects a rewetted raised bog as part of the Bourtanger Moor .

The area is characterized by cotton grass - peat moss - vibrating turf, which was created by silting up or overgrowing a former moor lake.

The area is surrounded by several ditches that drain it to the Ems and the south-north canal .

The area has been a nature reserve since July 16, 1976. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Emsland.
