Manuel Fischnaller (born July 20, 1991 in Bozen , South Tyrol ) is an Italian soccer player . He is under contract with US Alessandria Calcio and is mostly used as a striker.
Club career
Fischnaller's first club was FC Neugries . In 2004 he moved to the youth division of the then fourth division club FC Südtirol , where he played until the 2011/12 season. His first appearances in the first team were in the 2008/09 season. After a few successful appearances, he came into the focus of several Italian clubs. In December 2009 it was announced that Fischnaller would be loaned to the youth team of record champions Juventus Turin until the end of the season. With this he also won the youth football tournament Torneo di Viareggio , in which he scored three goals himself. In the final he was substituted on for Ciro Immobile in the 71st minute .
In the 2011/12 season, Fischnaller was one of the most successful players in the third division with 13 goals. As a result, he was signed by the second division Reggina Calcio for four years in the summer of 2012 . In the first competitive match in the cup against FC Modena , he scored the goal to make it 3-1 in extra time. On the second match day of the 2012/13 season he was on the field from the start and scored the goal to make it 1-0 in the game against Pro Vercelli . In the next two seasons, six more league goals followed in 67 games. After Reggina's relegation to the third division , Fischnaller returned to FC Südtirol for the 2014/15 season. During this season he was the top scorer of Lega Pro Girone A with 16 goals, together with two other players .
In 2015 he left South Tyrol again and switched to league competitor US Alessandria Calcio .
National team
In 2009, Manuel Fischnaller made his first two short appearances for the Italian U-20 team as part of a four-nation tournament in Germany . This was followed by eight more U20 international matches with a total of four goals.
