Manuel Löwensberg

Manuel Löwensberg (born May 11, 1975 in Zurich ) is a Swiss actor .

Life

Manuel Löwensberg grew up in Zurich. He graduated from the Bern University of Music and Theater in 2001 and then worked for three years at the St. Gallen City Theater . Since then he has been working as a freelance film and theater actor in Switzerland, Austria and Germany. He achieved particular fame in 2010 in the title role of the movie Hugo Koblet about the life of the Swiss cycling legend, which was very well received by the critics.

In his private life, Manuel Löwensberg made headlines in Switzerland with his statement that he only found out when he was twelve that he was the son of the Swiss politician Moritz Leuenberger . Until then he had mistaken his mother's then partner for his father. In 2003 Leuenberger and Löwensberg's mother married the architect Gret Loewensberg .
