Manuel Eduardo Medina Mariño (born July 14, 1976 in Aragua de Barcelona , Venezuela ) is a Venezuelan racing cyclist .

Athletic career

Manuel Medina was victorious for the first time in the eleventh stage of the Vuelta a Venezuela in 2002, and came third in the overall standings. In 2004 he won a stage of the Vuelta al Táchira for the first time . A year later he secured the overall classification of the Vuelta Ciclista Aragua , and he won a stage each of the Venezuela and Colombia tours. In 2006 Medina was twice successful at the Vuelta al Tachira and also won the overall standings. He was also national road racing champion and won again stages in the Tour of Colombia and Venezuela and the Clásico Ciclístico Banfoandes . In 2007 he won two stages of the Vuelta al Tachira and was second overall.

After his doping ban in 2013, Medina returned to cycling in 2015, but without achieving success.
