Manuel Schmidl (born November 1, 1988 ) is an Austrian football player . He is currently employed at ASKÖ Oedt .

life and career

Schmidl began his career in the youth of SV Gmunden . After he came to AKA Upper Austria, the federal youth center of the state, many Upper Austrian clubs became aware of the striker. In 2007 he came to SV Ried in the Austrian Bundesliga. Schmidl made his debut on the 20th match day of the 2007/08 season (date: November 24, 2007) in the game between Ried and SV Mattersburg , which ended 1: 1. The young striker came on in the 90th minute for the Albanian Hamdi Salihi . Four more games followed this season. In the 2008/09 season Schmidl did not play and had to be content with playing with the amateurs of Upper Austria.

In the 2009/10 season, the striker played for Regionalliga Mitte-promoted Union St. Florian . He then moved to SV Gmunden, where he played until the 2016/17 season. Schmidl was then signed for one season at FC Wels and moved to ASKÖ Oedt for the 2017/18 season .
