Manuela Kocher Shepherd

Manuela Kocher Hirt (born November 11, 1971 ; resident in Schwadernau ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

Life

Manuela Kocher Hirt made for a language study stay in Romandie training as a hospital assistant and later for qualified nurse HF . After several years of employment at the Biel Hospital Center, she trained as a health nurse and then worked at the Bethesda Clinic in Tschugg . In 2004, Kocher Hirt completed his professional baccalaureate and then completed a CAS course in Public Management & Politics at the Bern University of Applied Sciences . Manuela Kocher Hirt is married and has two children. She lives in Worben .

Manuela Kocher Hirt has been a member of the municipal council (executive) of Worben since 2012 and was elected vice president of the municipality in 2016. In 2018, Kocher Hirt was elected to the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern , where she is a member of the Justice Commission. Her political focus lies in the areas of health, age and occupational policy (care professions) and the equality of people with disabilities and of women and men.

Manuela Kocher Hirt has been involved in the Swiss Professional Association of Nursing Women and Men SBK since 2001 , initially as a cantonal board member, then as head of the social partnership and since 2010 as a member of the central board. She is a member of the board of directors of MÜVE Biel-Seeland AG, member of the board of the regional conference on social affairs and health and president of Autism Bern.
