In the club

In 2002 Manuele Blasi was signed by Juventus Turin , who loaned him straight back to Perugia. The 2003/04 season spent Blasi loan at another club, this time at AC Parma . In January 2004, the Italian Football Association banned him for six months because he had tested positive for nandrolone during a doping control . The suspension was shortened by a month after an appeal was lodged so that he could participate again at the end of the season before returning to Turin in the summer.

Blasi in the SSC Napoli jersey

For the 2004/05 season Blasi returned to the old lady , who had signed a new coach with Fabio Capello . Since Capello had already valued and promoted Blasi during their time together at AS Roma, Manuele Blasi became a regular in midfield this season and initially formed the basis for Juve's 28th championship title with his partner Emerson . Towards the end of the season, however, Capello often only let him sit on the bench. In 2005/06 Manuele Blasi could not get beyond the reserve existence, but still won his second Scudetto with Juventus . Both championship titles were later revoked because of Juve's involvement in the manipulation scandal.

After Juventus had to relegate to Serie B in the 2006/07 season , Blasi was loaned to Fiorentina , where he was again a regular in midfield under coach Cesare Prandelli . After his return to Juventus in the summer, 50% of his transfer rights were sold to SSC Napoli in August 2007 . In June 2008, both clubs Blasis agreed permanent move to Napoli .

In the national team

Manuele Blasi went through the youth national teams of the Italian Football Association since the U-15. In 1999 he was with Italy in the final of the U-19 European Championship , which was lost 1-0 to Portugal in Norrköping . In 2002 he reached the semifinals at the European Championships in the Czech Republic with the Italian U-21 selection , where they lost to the hosts 2: 3 nV.

In August 2004, the Italian national coach Marcello Lippi appointed him for the first time in the squadra Azzurra for the game against Iceland . Blasi made his debut immediately and was then an integral part of the Italian national team in qualifying for the 2006 World Cup . His last international match so far was on October 12, 2005 in a 2-1 win against Moldova .
