Manza ( Albanian  also  Manëz or Manzë ) is a place in central Albania in the municipality of Durrës in the Qark Durrës .

Until 2015 Manza was an independent community . Although in a rural location and without a major center, the municipality was classified as Bashkia from 1996 to 2015, i.e. an urban municipality. There were 6,652 inhabitants in the whole municipality (2011). The community included the places Armath , Borç , Hamallaj , cameras , Kuçok , Manza , Rada and Shkalla .

The main street through the community

Manza is located in the east of the municipality about 15 kilometers from Durrës and adjacent to Vora to the northwest . To the east, Manza extends into the western slopes of the Kodra e Gjatë range of hills , which here reaches a maximum height of just over 300 meters and extends to Cape Rodon . The western, flat part of the former municipal area lies in the wide valley of the lower reaches of the Erzen . In the north-west near Hamallaj it is only two to three kilometers to the coast of the Adriatic , which forms the wide bay of Gjiri i Lalzit here. Several reservoirs were created in the hills for irrigation. Neighboring communities were Maminas in the south, Sukth in the west and Ishëm in the north. To the east, Manza borders the Tirana district with the Vora community and the Kruja community .

Shortly before Manza there is a large camp of the Iranian People's Mujahedin , who were resettled from Iraq to Albania in 2016 . It is called Ashraf 3 based on an earlier camp in Iran . Around 2,000 insurgent Iranians are believed to be living in the locked camp.

The SH2 motorway , which connects Durrës with Tirana , runs a little south of Manza near Maminas . A road going off here crosses the whole region from south to north.
