Mara Scherzinger , also Mara Isabella Scherzinger , (born September 23, 1989 in Titisee-Neustadt ) is a German actress .

Life

Scherzinger spent her childhood in Lenzkirch - Saig in the Black Forest . She has a brother.

The family has lived in Cologne since 2001 . Her parents run a coaching agency there. Through contacts made in Cologne, she got a role in a commercial for Masterfoods in 2002 . In 2002 she got a role in the television film Love and Desire , an erotic drama about a lesbian love affair between a teacher and the headmaster's wife, in which she played Torchy, a difficult-to-educate student who threatens to publicize the love affair between the two women . In 2004/2005 Mara Scherzinger played a leading role in the Australian series Blue Water High, filmed in Sydney . In it she embodied Anna Peterson, a young 15-year-old girl from Hamburg who received one of the coveted seven places for a twelve-month intensive surf and school program at a surf academy. In 2005, Scherzinger also led a making-of for the series for KI.KA. In 2006 she took on the role of Lea in the award-winning youth drama Beautiful Bitch .

From 2002 to 2005 she completed a High Performance Leadership Training in New York City . She also received private acting lessons and attended acting coaching from American actress Helen O'Connor from 2004 to 2005 . From 2006 to 2008 she studied drama and modern dance at the Freshwater Senior Campus in New South Wales , Australia , where she graduated in 2008 with a degree in performing arts.

With the band and girl group The Pretty Girls , which was founded by her and three other friends, she performed in New York City and in Germany.

In 2008 she lived temporarily in Los Angeles and later alternately in Berlin , Cologne and Los Angeles. She worked as a model in New York and in Germany. Scherzinger lives in Berlin (as of February 2017).
