Marc Beckers (born October 19, 1973 in Mönchengladbach ) is a former German soccer player . Beckers retired in 2000 due to a knee injury. Today he works as a physiotherapist and personal trainer.

Career

On November 5, 1993 Beckers made his professional debut in the Bundesliga when he ran for Borussia Mönchengladbach against Hamburger SV . At Borussia, he came on another assignment in the Bundesliga. For the 1995/96 season he moved to Fortuna Dusseldorf , where he ran for the next two years initially for the second team in the Oberliga Nordrhein . From the 1997/98 season he played with the first team of Fortuna in the 2nd Bundesliga . In 1999 Beckers moved to Greece to Aris Thessaloniki for a year , for which he played 36 league games.
