Marc Hindelang

Marc Hindelang (born March 25, 1967 in Lindau ) is a German sports commentator and ice hockey official .

Life

Marc Hindelang grew up on Lake Constance and attended the Bodensee-Gymnasium in Lindau. Since 1987 he has worked as a sports presenter on radio and television.

Since 2009, Hindelang has been working primarily for Sky as an ice hockey and football commentator . He also works as an ice hockey commentator for Sport1 . For Sky he comments and moderates the DEL, the Bundesliga, the Champions League and the DFB Cup . At Sport1 he has been the voice of the German national ice hockey team since 1998. He produced the documentation for 17 days in May about the successful 2010 Ice Hockey World Cup in Germany .

Hindelang could be heard as a German commentator for the NHL series of the computer game manufacturer Electronic Arts between 1999 and 2001. In 2005 he was awarded the Xaver-Unsinn -Trophy of the German Ice Hockey Museum for positive activity in ice hockey. In 2010 he received the DFL Bundesliga Foundation Prize for social commitment. The production of the charity DVD Losing Was Not Being about the former national ice hockey goalkeeper Robert Müller, who died of cancer, was honored .

Hindelang is the honorary chairman of the ice hockey league club EV Lindau and has been vice president of the German Ice Hockey Federation since September 21, 2014 .

Since January 2013, Hindelang has hosted the after-work club at the Munich local broadcaster 95.5 Charivari every two weeks .

Hindelang has been the press spokesman for Eintracht Frankfurt since June 2018 .
