Marc Holtz (born August 19, 1978 ) is a Luxembourgish pool player .

Career

In 1993 Marc Holtz won a medal for the first time at the European Youth Championships with bronze in the 8-ball students . A year later he was in the final against the Norwegian Thomas Jomne pupil European champion in 14/1 endless . In 1995 he was the 14/1 endless European Junior Champion. At the European Youth Championships in 1996 he was defeated by the German Thorsten Hohmann in the 14/1 endless junior final and became 9-ball European champion by beating Cristian Gotemann in the final .

In October 2000, Holtz won his only Euro Tour medal with third place at the Finland Open . At the 9-ball world championship in 2001 , Holtz came in 33rd place. A year later he was eliminated in the preliminary round. At the 9-Ball World Cup in 2003 , Holtz reached the sixteenth-finals and was only marginally defeated 8: 9 by the Canadian Luc Salvas . In 2004 he was eliminated again in the preliminary round. At the 2004 European Championships , Holtz finished fifth in the 14/1 endless. In June 2006 he won the Ardennes Cup in the final against Sascha Trautmann . In 2013, Holtz again reached the final there, but lost to the Czech Roman Hybler 3: 6.
