Marc Rapp (born December 2, 1970 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Rapp had started playing soccer at the Pforzheim district club 1. FC Eutingen before moving to the youth department of Karlsruher SC in 1985 . With the A youth team , he reached the final of the DFB Junior Club Cup on July 7, 1989 , which was lost 4-1 to the youngsters of VfL Bochum . In 1989 he moved up to the amateur team of the Karlsruher SC and was used in the senior division. From 1990 to 1992 he was a contract amateur on the club's professional team and played a total of 18 Bundesliga games in both seasons .

However, he could not prevail and joined the VfR Pforzheim . In the league season 1994/95 he reached second place with VfR behind SV Sandhausen . In the promotion games to Regionalliga Süd , he and the team initially beat SpVgg Bayreuth 4-0, but the 1-3 defeat against the amateurs of Eintracht Frankfurt ended the promotion dreams. Because of the subsequent financial difficulties of the club, which led to relegation, he left this. From 1995 he played for the city rivals 1. FC Pforzheim before he played for the Baden-Württemberg upper division club SV Sandhausen in the 1997/98 season . Rapp joined TSG Hoffenheim in 1998 , with whom he was promoted to the Baden-Württemberg Oberliga. There he managed to march through to the Regionalliga Süd , in which he played 34 point games and scored one goal for the club from Sinsheim in the 2000/01 season .
