Marc Weyrich

Marc Weyrich (born October 18, 1983 in Ludwigsburg ) is a German TV and radio presenter , reporter , editor and speaker . He moderates programs on SWR1 and in the regional program of SWR4 for Südwestrundfunk and is also a multimedia reporter in the SWR studio in Freiburg. He also presents the news on ARD Popnacht and synchronizes documentaries for arte and ARD.

Life

Weyrich began his journalistic activity in 1998 for the Ludwigsburger Kreiszeitung before he started working as a freelancer for the radio department of the Catholic Church in the diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart in 2001 . He also volunteered in this editorial team (KiP-Radio) from 2004 to 2006, in collaboration with the ifp (Institute for the Promotion of Young Journalists) in Munich.

Weyrich made his first experience as a presenter between 2006 and 2010 at the Ulm area broadcaster Radio7 , where he presented various programs . In addition, from 2005 to 2014 he was editor and presenter of the bigFM nighttalk show at bigFM (Stuttgart) . He also presented special programs on church topics there. Since 2009 he has moderated the talk show alpha & omega for KiP-TV .

From 2010 to 2012, Weyrich hosted the Drivetime and Morning Show at Radio TON in Heilbronn. There he also presented the program Church & Co until 2019 .

From 2011 to 2014 he was also a presenter at the local station Donau 3 FM in Ulm. From 2012 to 2014 he was on the Freiburg local broadcaster baden.fm as a presenter of the drivetime show, as well as editor and presenter of the magazine The Topics of the Day . In 2013 he was awarded the "Radio Seal" for a training concept he developed for the station.

In 2014 he switched to Saarländischer Rundfunk , where he moderated for five years primarily at SR 1 and SR 2 and worked as a reporter for all waves. He attracted attention with his radio campaign Weyrichs Waagemutige want to weigh less . Thousands of listeners used a concept developed by him and a nutritionist to reduce their weight for four years during the Christian Lent and gained knowledge of healthy eating.

Marc Weyrich studied German and Catholic theology alongside his journalistic activities at the University of Tübingen and graduated with the first state examination.

He is married, has a daughter (* 2019) and lives near Zweibrücken .
