Marcel Vacherot
Marcel Gustave Arsène Vacherot (born February 11, 1881 in Neuilly-sur-Seine , † May 24, 1975 in Pau ) was a French tennis player .
His older brother André Vacherot was also a successful tennis player and was a multiple French champion. The two brothers were grandchildren of the French philosopher Étienne Vacherot .
Vacherot was French champion in 1898 in men's doubles with Xenophon Kasdaglis and repeated this success in 1901, this time in a team with his brother André. In 1902 he won the French tennis championship in the men's singles with a two-set victory in the final over his compatriot, the record winner Max Décugis , 6: 4 and 6: 2.
