Marcelien Bos-de Koning (* 10. May 1978 in Hoorn as Marcelien de Koning ) is a Dutch sailor .

successes

Marcelien de Koning took part in the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 and in London in 2012 . In 2008 she and Lobke Berkhout took second place in the 470 dinghy behind Elise Rechichi and Tessa Parkinson and in front of the Brazilian boat, with which she won the silver medal. Four years later she started the Olympic regatta in the Elliott 6m boat class and finished in eighth place. At world championships from 2005 to 2007 Koning won the title three times in a row with Berkhout in the 470 dinghy. In 2017, the Elliott won the silver medal.

In 2005 de Koning and Berkhout were named Dutch Team of the Year . In 2007 she received the Knight's Cross of the Order of Orange-Nassau for her success . Her brother Coen de Koning is also an Olympic sailor.
