Marcelle Lentz-Cornette (born March 2, 1927 in Niederkorn ; † January 29, 2008 ) was a Luxembourg politician ( CSV ).

Marcelle Lentz studied at the Sorbonne in Paris and graduated in chemistry with a doctorate in natural sciences; She was a trained teacher for the secondary school and as such worked from 1952 to 1964 at the Lycée Hubert Clément in Esch-sur-Alzette . She was with Dr. Albert Lentz married.

Since 1965 she was a member of the Chrëschtlech Sozial Vollekspartei (CSV). Marcelle Lentz was a member of the CSV four times between 1979 and 1994 in the Luxembourg Parliament, the Chambre des Députés . From 1980 to 1989 she was a member of the European Parliament and from 1989 to 1999 a member of the Council of Europe . She belonged to the Group of the European People's Party (EPP) and was a member of the board. In 1998/1999 she was Vice President of the North Atlantic Assembly of NATO . She was a lay judge (1970–1980) and for many years the first lay judge of the Sassenheim council of lay judges (1968–1985, 1997–1999, 2001–2003). She got involved in the social field, later she was co-founder of "Kanner hëllefe Kanner" and "Mammen hëllefe Mammen". Lentz-Cornette was awarded the Great Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany .
