Marcin Adamski [ ˈmartɕin aˈdamskʲi ] (born August 20, 1975 in Świnoujście , Poland ) is a former Polish football player .
Club career
Adamski played in his youth with Flota Świnoujście and KS Warta Poznań. His breakthrough finally came with the Polish first division club Zagłębie Lubin , to which he moved in 1996. He quickly played his way into the club's starting line-up. In the winter of 2001, the defender moved to Rapid Vienna on a free transfer after having played exactly 100 games for Lubin in the Polish Ekstraklasa .
In the following years Adamski completed 96 competitive games for Rapid, four of them in the European Cup . He was also a regular for Rapid in the championship season 2005, but switched to the French second division Angers SCO during the winter break . He could not prevent his relegation and returned to Austria at the end of the season. A move to VfB Admira Wacker Mödling failed. His contract with Rapid Vienna ended on June 30, 2006.
In September 2006 Adamski joined the German second division club FC Erzgebirge Aue , with which he signed a contract until June 30, 2007. After an unsuccessful attempt at the English second division club Ipswich Town to gain a foothold, Adamski moved to Northampton Town . At the beginning of 2008 he returned to LKS Lodz in the Polish Ekstraklasa . After relegation in 2009, re-emergence in 2011 and relegation in 2012, his contract was not renewed.
National team career
Adamski completed two international matches in 2003 and one international match for the Polish national team in 2005 . These were victories against Malta , Latvia and Estonia .
