Marco Akuzun
Marco Akuzun (born September 3, 1981 in Friedrichshafen ) is a German chef.
The son of a German mother and a Turkish father completed his training as a chef at the Storchen restaurant in Oberuhldingen . In 2013 he took over the kitchen of the Top Air restaurant at Stuttgart Airport as head chef after having worked there for a year as a sous-chef under Claudio Urru.
Awards
In his first year as head chef Akuzun received a star in the Michelin Guide (the 22nd in a row for the Top Air) and was nominated by Rolling Pin magazine as Newcomer of the Year 2013 and by Gault-Millau as Talent of the Year 2014. The Internet In 2014, the portal of the American television broadcaster CNN Travel voted Top Air one of the best airport restaurants worldwide.
