Marco Depaoli

Marco Depaoli (born June 18, 1954 in Tonadico ) is an Italian politician. From 2008 to 2011 he was President of the Regional Council Trentino-South Tyrol .

Life

Depaoli worked as a teacher at various schools in Val di Fiemme , Valsugana and Primiero . In 1980 he was elected to the Tonadico Municipal Council and was subsequently appointed Municipal Secretary. From 1981 to 2003 he was mayor of his home parish. During these years Depaoli also held the offices of President of the Paneveggio Natural Park - Pale di San Martino and President of the Primiero District Community.

In 2003 Depaoli was elected for the Lista Civica Margherita per il governo Trentino in the Trentino state parliament and thus at the same time regional council Trentino-South Tyrol . Subsequently, he held the office of President of the 1st Legislative Commission in the Trentino Parliament. In 2008 he ran again successfully, this time for the Unione per il Trentino by Governor Lorenzo Dellai . In December 2008 he was elected President of the Regional Council of Trentino-Alto Adige. In 2011 he was replaced in this position by Rosa Zelger Thaler on the rotation principle and took on the role of Vice President of the Regional Council. In the state elections in 2013 Depaoli could no longer win a mandate.
