Rosa Zelger Thaler

Rosa Zelger Thaler (born December 3, 1957 in Truden ) is a South Tyrolean politician.

Life

Zelger Thaler worked in the public sector from 1976 to 1979, and has been a farmer since she married in 1977.

In 1998 she was elected to the state parliament for the first time on the list of the South Tyrolean People's Party and thus at the same time to the regional council of Trentino-South Tyrol , where she was the only member of the district community of Überetsch-Unterland . From 2003 to 2008 Zelger Thaler was chairwoman of the II Legislative Commission, from May 2006 to November 2008 she was vice-president of the state parliament. In the 2008 state elections, Zelger Thaler was re-elected with 9,414 preferential votes. On February 10, 2011, she was elected Vice President of the Regional Council as the successor to Seppl Lamprechts . On June 1, 2011, she replaced Marco Depaoli as President of the Regional Council on a rotating basis . Before the state elections in 2013 , she refused to run again and thus retired from active politics.
