Seppl Lamprecht

Seppl Lamprecht (born January 3, 1969 in Merano ; † December 28, 2010 in Bolzano ) was a South Tyrolean farmer and politician . From 1998 until his death he was a member of the South Tyrolean People's Party in the state parliament and thus also in the regional council of Trentino-South Tyrol .

Life

Seppl Lamprecht was born on January 3rd, 1969 as the youngest child of Elisabeth and Josef Lamprecht. He grew up together with his siblings Matthias "Hias" and Annelies on their parents' farm, the "Oberscherer Hof", a fruit, wine and dairy farm in Marling . After graduating from middle school in 1983, Lamprecht decided to attend the secondary school for agriculture in Auer .

After obtaining the Matura , the entry in the professional album of the qualified agricultural technicians (Perito Agrario) followed . Lamprecht worked for some time as a freelance agricultural technician and as a teacher at the agricultural high school in Auer. Due to the sudden illness of his father, he had to break off his studies of economics at the University of Trento in order to work on his parents' farm. Around the same time, he began to work for the South Tyrolean People's Party (SVP) and the South Tyrolean Farmers' Union (SBB). From 1991 to 1997 he was SVP local chairman in his home village. In the farmers' union and the youth organization of the association, the Südtiroler Bauernjugend (SBJ), he worked in several functions: from 1989 to 1995 as local chairman of the South Tyrolean farmers' youth in Marling and as district chairman of the SBJ Burggrafenamt , from 1993 to 1999 as provincial chairman of the South Tyrolean farmers' youth , from 1996 to 2009 as regional chairman of the farmers 'union in the burgrave office and since February 2009 as deputy chairman of the South Tyrolean farmers' union.

In 1995 he took over the “Lahnerhof” fruit and wine farm in Marling and renovated the listed farm. Two years later, he and his brother Matthias opened the Lahnerhof farmer's distillery, which specializes in the production of fruit brandies and fine distillates.

Seppl Lamprecht was active in the cooperative sector. As a registered "auditor and auditor" (revisore contabile) he was a member of the control committee of the Burggräfler cellar cooperative . He was also deputy chairman of the local Raiffeisenkasse and deputy president of the South Tyrolean agricultural cooperative (Consorzio Agrario Bolzano) , which is also active in Trentino .

In 1998, at the age of just under 30, Seppl Lamprecht was elected as the youngest member of the South Tyrolean state parliament and thus also to the regional council of Trentino-South Tyrol . In the legislative period from 2003 to 2008 he was chairman of the SVP regional council group. In the 2008 state elections, he obtained 10,713 preferential votes and was elected Vice President of the Regional Council. In 2011, due to the principle of rotation, he should have taken over the presidency of the regional council from then president Marco Depaoli .

Seppl Lamprecht died of a heart attack on December 28, 2010 shortly before his 42nd birthday .
