Marco Gruszka (born December 6, 1975 in Dortmund ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Marco Gruszka, who played for VfR Sölde , Borussia Dortmund and TSC Eintracht Dortmund in his youth , played with VfR Sölde in the Oberliga Westfalen from 1993 to 1997 . In 1997 he moved to Preußen Münster and from there to Göttingen 05 the following year . In Göttingen, under coach Joachim Krug , Gruszka advanced to become team captain and crowd favorite. In July 2000, coach Wolfgang Frank appointed him to the MSV Duisburg squad . In the following year Gruszka moved to VfB Oldenburg and led the team there in 2002 as captain for the championship of the Oberliga Nord . Together with manager Franz Gerber , Gruszka moved to the second division FC St. Pauli for the 2002/03 season and played a total of 52 games there until the summer of 2004. After Gruszka then moved back to the Ruhr area for family reasons and initially took a football break until winter, at the turn of 2004/05 he followed the call of Joachim Krug, who was now the sports manager of Hammer SpVg , to the Westphalian city of Hamm. In 2006 Gruszka rose with the Hammer Spielvereinigung as captain in the Oberliga Westfalen and played there in the NRW League . From the 2010/11 season to the summer of 2016, Gruszka was player- coach at the Castrop-Rauxel district league club SuS Merklinde , and since the 2016/17 season he has been the coach of the district league club SpVg BG Schwerin .
