Marco Quotschalla (born July 25, 1988 in Cologne ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

The striker initially trained at Jürgen Glowacz's football boarding school in Cologne . He later moved to Bayer 04 Leverkusen . In 2001, the then twelve-year-old Quotschalla received a highly endowed eight-year contract from 1. FC Köln for youth relationships . This contract caused a sensation and severe criticism throughout Germany. In the youth of 1. FC Köln he suffered two serious injuries. In the U17 he just sat on the bench. In 2005 Frank Schaefer , the then Cologne coach of the U19s, eliminated him completely.

From 2005 to 2008 Quotschalla was under contract with Alemannia Aachen and was able to gain a foothold again apart from media interest. In the winter of 2007 he took part in various indoor tournaments as a U19 player with the professional squad, was then allowed to take part in the professional winter training camp under the then coach Michael Frontzeck and moved up to the professional squad because of personnel concerns. He made his Bundesliga debut on January 30, 2007 against FC Schalke 04 , where he was substituted on; but he only got one more brief assignment. In the 2007/08 season Quotschalla was used in the U23 of Alemannia. There he came in the first half of the 2008/09 season on 11 missions and one goal.

In the winter break of 2008/09 he moved to the 5th division, the NRW League , first to FC Germania Dattenfeld and the following season to the newly promoted league competitor Bonner SC . After the Bonner SC was denied the license for the 2010/11 season, Quotschalla joined the second team of FC Schalke 04. There he also took part in the training of the first team and was substituted on for the first time in a competitive game with the professionals during the DFB Cup game between Schalke 04 against VfR Aalen on August 16, 2010.

In January 2012 Marco Quotschalla moved to the regional division Wuppertaler SV Borussia . After twelve months at WSV, the striker dissolved his contract in January 2013 and moved to the Regionalliga Südwest at Eintracht Trier . In the summer of 2014, his contract was not renewed and Quotschalla moved to the Italian amateur club NFC Orlandina . In January 2015 he signed a contract for the remainder of the season with the German regional league club TuS Koblenz . After TuS Koblenz was relegated to the league, Quotschalla left the club after his contract expired in the summer of 2015.

Quotschalla then joined the Luxembourg second division club FC Rodingen 91 in the 2015/16 season . After a year he returned to Germany and moved to the upper division Sportfreunde Baumberg .

On July 1, 2017, he moved to SG Köln-Worringen in the District League Season 1 Mittelrhein. But already in the following winter break Quotschalla left the club with an unknown goal. A new club was not known until today (February 2020), after which one can probably assume that his career will end.
