Marcos Danilo Ureña Porras (born March 5, 1990 in San José ) is a Costa Rican soccer player.

Player career

In February 2007 he made his debut for the first team of LD Alajuelense in the Primera División de Costa Rica . By the end of 2010, he had played 89 games and scored ten goals.

On February 8, 2011, he moved to the Russian club Kuban Krasnodar. Ureña was awarded a four-year contract.

In 2014 he moved to the Danish Super League. There he played for FC Midtjylland for two years and since 2016 for Brøndby IF .

National team

Marco Ureña played for the U-17, U-20 and U-23 youth teams of Costa Rica. In 2007 he took part in the U-17 World Cup. With the U-20 selection, he reached fourth place at the 2009 Junior World Cup in Egypt .

In 2010 he was appointed to the Costa Rica national team. In his first major tournament, the Central American Cup 2011 , he scored a total of 3 goals and was named top scorer along with Rafael Burgos from El Salvador .
