Marco Varnier (born June 8, 1998 in Padua ) is an Italian football player who plays as a central defender for Serie B club AC Pisa on loan.
Career
society
Varnier made his debut for AS Cittadella on December 30, 2016 at the age of 18 in a Serie B match against Virtus Entella . In his first professional season, he completed 14 league games. On November 25, 2017, he scored the first goal of his professional career in a league game against Salernitana , which was won 2-1.
On July 2, 2018, he joined the Serie A club Atalanta Bergamo. Varnier is on loan for one season. Atalanta then has a purchase obligation.
National team
He made his debut for Italy's U-21 team on October 5, 2017 in a friendly, beating Hungary 6-2 in Budapest .
