Marcos Aurelio Di Paulo

Marcos Aurelio Di Paulo (born September 27, 1920 in Buenos Aires , Argentina , † September 28, 1996 in León , Mexico ) was an Argentine football player who acted in the attacking midfield or attack . He got his nickname El Pato (Eng. The Duck ) because of his peculiar gait due to the slightly different length of his legs.

career

At the age of 15 he joined the Chacarita Juniors and later moved to CA Vélez Sársfield .

Before the start of the 1944/45 season , when the newly formed Club León was included in the Mexican professional league introduced a year earlier , he was committed by the Esmeraldas , with whom he was under contract in his first epoch from 1944 to 1948 and in the season In 1947/48 he won the Mexican championship title in the city of León for the first time .

After this triumph he moved to the Spanish Primera División for FC Barcelona , with whom he won the Spanish championship title as well as the Supercup and the Copa Latina in his first season in 1948/49 . In the summer of 1951 he returned to Club León and won two more championship titles with the Esmeraldas in the seasons 1951/52 and 1955/56.
