Marcus Becker (born September 11, 1981 in Merseburg , GDR ) is a former German canoeist .

Becker won the title at the 2003 Canoe Slalom World Championships in Augsburg . The athlete from Böllberger SV Halle was silver medalist in the two-man canoe (C2) at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens . At the Canoe Slalom World Championships 2007 in Foz do Iguaçu , he and Stefan Henze finished fourth in C2. Becker had to undergo surgery in November 2009 because of a herniated disc . He had to cancel the Canoe Slalom World Championships in 2011 due to another herniated disc. In 2012, Becker and Henze announced their withdrawal from competitive sports.
