Marcus Schober (born September 13, 1980 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ), director of the Vienna Education Academy and member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council .

education

After graduating from BRG 12 Rosasgasse, he studied journalism and communication sciences as well as political science at the University of Vienna . Then he studied "Political Communication" at the University of Krems . In the course of his training he worked as a journalist in various areas. He trained as a telecommunications officer, information and press officer and communications trainer for the Austrian Armed Forces .

Political career

1997–1999 he was head of the school at BRG 12, Rosasgasse and active in the AKS (Aktion Kritischer Schülerinnen). 2000–2002 he worked in various SPÖ election campaigns. Since 2002 he has been a SPÖ district official in the 3rd district of Vienna . Until 2013 he was chairman of the Landstrasse young generation . From 2005-2015 he was a district councilor in the 3rd district. In 2004 he worked in the team of Federal President Heinz Fischer during the presidential election campaign . He was an employee of Hannes Swoboda's team in the SPÖ European election office and an employee of Federal Chancellor Alfred Gusenbauer as part of the Startklar tour. From 2005 to 2007 he worked for the education secretary Michael Ludwig in the SPÖ education in Vienna.

Since February 2007 he has been the education secretary of the Viennese SPÖ education and organizer of the party school in the Viennese education , as well as regional office manager of the Dr. Karl Renner Institute in Vienna. He is entrusted with the implementation of the "360 ° Political Communication" project. Since 2014 he has been the coordinator of the Vienna SPÖ party program discussion "Wien macht Programm". Since February 2015 he has been a member of the state parliament and councilor in Vienna.
