Marcus Lavon Trufant (* 25. December 1980 ) is a former American American football poker players. He played 10 seasons as cornerback for the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League .

NFL

Seattle Seahawks

Trufant was selected in the 2003 NFL Draft as the 11th player in the first round by the Seattle Seahawks . In 2007, Trufant played a major role in the Seahawks defense by catching 7 interceptions and carrying one back to an 84 yard touchdown. He also put 85 tackles, which he was elected to the 2008 Pro Bowl . On February 21, 2008, the Seahawks put their franchise day on Trufant, holding it for an additional year before signing Trufant for another six years on March 26, 2008.

On October 17, 2011, Trufant was placed on the Injured Reserve List due to a bruised sacrum , ending the season for him. The Seahawks sacked Trufant on March 8, 2012, but recruited him on April 9, 2012.

Jacksonville Jaguars

On May 7, 2013, the Jacksonville Jaguars signed him , which he worked again with his former Defensive Coordinator Gus Bradley . He was released on August 30, 2013.

resignation

On April 23, 2014, he signed a one-day contract with the Seattle Seahawks so he could resign as the Seahawks.

Personal

His younger brother Isaiah also played in the NFL, while his youngest brother, Desmond Trufant , currently plays for the Atlanta Falcons , both of whom are also cornerbacks.
