Marek Citko (born March 27, 1974 in Białystok ) is a former Polish football player .

In the mid-1990s, Marek Citko played in the Polish Ekstraklasa and also completed Champions League games against Borussia Dortmund , Atlético Madrid and Steaua Bucharest . In the hope of an offer from a top club, he turned down a specific offer from Blackburn Rovers in 1996 and stayed with Widzew Łódź . On May 17, 1997, he was injured in a league game against Górnik Zabrze and was out of action for 16 months. After that, he never found his old form again and never played for the Polish national team again .

Today Citko is active as a manager for players and looks after, among others, Krzysztof Kamiński , who plays for Júbilo Iwata in Japan, and Waldemar Sobota from FC St.Pauli . Until August 2016 he also worked in the management of Wisła Kraków , but was dismissed after the club was taken over by a new investor.
