After the death of her father, the cook Marga Engel wants to put the inheritance in her dream of her own guest house and has a house built. However, the real estate agent Siegfried Ohrmann thwarted her plans. But when she is massively angry at her injustice, Ohrmann hires her in his company in Leipzig . After just one year, Engel quit because she caught Ohrmann red-handed with his assistant. Marga Engel then found a job in a children's home, which in turn Ohrmann wants to expand into a health clinic. The cook finds an ally in Siegfried Ohrmann's daughter Olga.
