Margaret Lee

Margaret Lee (born August 4, 1943 in Wolverhampton , England ; native Margaret Gwendolyn Box ) is a British actress .

Life

Lee attended the Italia Conti Theater School in London and was discovered for Italian film while in Paris . During the 1960s she was involved in a large number of Italian and international productions.

It was mostly about adventure and agent films, as they were particularly popular at the time. In these films, she mainly appeared as a seductress, and she was often the victim of a crime herself. She was also involved in the two Edgar Wallace films The Riddle of the Silver Triangle and The Face in the Dark . In a total of 11 films she played alongside the German actor Klaus Kinski .

In 1975 Lee was sentenced to prison in Scotland for the manslaughter of her cousin who allegedly sexually abused her. After her release, she returned to film in Italy in 1981, but was unable to build on her earlier successes.
