Margarete Hallervorden (born September 4, 1887 in Kortau , Allenstein district , † September 15, 1972 in Solingen ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Margarete Hallervorden was a daughter of the director of the "Provinzialirrenanstalt" in Kortau Eugen Hallervorden (1853-1914), her older brother was the brain researcher Julius Hallervorden (1882-1965). In 1908 she passed the examination as a teacher in Königsberg . In 1918 she joined the SPD. In addition, she passed an examination for auxiliary school teachers in 1927 , where she worked in Berlin-Lichtenberg and Friedrichshain .

After the Second World War , Hallervorden became a school councilor in Berlin . In the first Berlin election in 1946 , she was elected to the district assembly in the Charlottenburg district. Since Max Döring (1875–1947) died, she moved to the city ​​council of Greater Berlin .
