Margrit Thommen

Margrit Thommen (* 1937 or 1938 ) is a former Swiss orienteer .

The Lampenbergerin Thommen started in 1962 at the first European Orienteering Championships in Norway Løten and was doing Tenth in the individual race. In the relay race, which was not yet an official part of the competition program in 1962, she was third behind the teams from Sweden and Norway with Sonja Ballestad and Käthi von Salis . Two years later at the European Championships in Le Brassus , Switzerland , Thommen won the women's race with an almost four-minute lead over Ann-Marie Wallsten from Sweden . In the season with Käthi von Salis and Marlies Saxer , she won the silver medal.

In Swiss Championships won Thommen 1960, 1961, 1964 and 1965 the title on the classic distance.
